Job Overview

At Clinisys, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of post-sales software delivery projects across our healthcare solutions portfolio.

This role supports NHS and private healthcare customers throughout the UK, delivering a wide range of software enhancements, upgrades, integrations, configuration changes, and service engagements.

This is a fast-paced environment where Project Managers typically oversee multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity, ranging from short Professional Services engagements through to larger software delivery programmes valued up to £350,000 and spanning 6-18 months.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience delivering software projects into the NHS, ideally within pathology, diagnostics, laboratory, healthcare IT, or related healthcare environments.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a large portfolio of concurrent customer-facing software delivery projects.

  • Coordinating software upgrades, system enhancements, integrations, migrations, and other post-sales service engagements.

  • Owning project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.

  • Collaborating closely with Professional Services, Product, Technical, Support, and Customer Success teams.

  • Managing project governance, stakeholder communications, and reporting activities.

  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

  • Supporting customers through implementation, testing, deployment, and project closure activities.

  • Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, budget, and timescales.

  • Managing a high volume of projects simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality and contractual commitments.

Essential Experience

  • Experience working for a software vendor, healthcare technology provider, SaaS provider, or technology services organisation.

  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a high-volume delivery environment.

  • Experience delivering software-only projects, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, migrations, or application deployments.

  • Experience managing project plans, resources, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or similar.

  • Experience using project management and planning tools.

  • Experience managing project governance, reporting, and customer-facing delivery activities.

Highly Desirable Experience
  • Experience delivering projects into NHS organisations.

  • Experience working within pathology, laboratory, diagnostics, LIMS, EPR, or healthcare IT environments.

  • Experience delivering software solutions used within pathology laboratories.

  • Experience managing healthcare software projects within acute trusts, pathology networks, or diagnostic services.

  • Previous experience working in pathology services, laboratory operations, or healthcare delivery before moving into project management would be advantageous.

  • Experience engaging with pathology managers, laboratory managers, clinicians, and healthcare stakeholders.

  • Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar generative AI tools to support project management activities, including planning, reporting, risk management, documentation, and delivery management.

  • Experience incorporating AI-assisted workflows into project delivery, governance, reporting, or operational processes.

  • Knowledge of Clinisys solutions would be beneficial but is not essential.

Additional Information
  • Remote-based role with occasional customer travel.

  • Standard 40-hour working week.

  • Occasional planned out-of-hours deployment activities may be required.

  • Opportunity to support critical healthcare and pathology systems used across NHS and private healthcare organisations throughout the UK.

  • Typical projects range from short Professional Services engagements of several consultancy days through to larger software delivery projects valued up to £350,000, with durations ranging from several weeks to 18 months.
