Job summary

A housing project management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Birmingham for a temporary position. Responsibilities include managing maintenance and refurbishment projects in social housing. Candidates must have essential safety certifications such as UKATA/IATP and SMSTS, as well as a Gold CSCS card. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required. Job description

MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a range of planned works for a Contractor working with a Housing Association in the Birmingham area. Projects will include replacement of bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and roofs.

This is a temporary position for 1 month initially, subject to possible extension. Candidates can expect a rate of pay of up to 40ph umbrella over a 37-hour working week. Access to your own vehicle is essential to travel between sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across occupied housing stock
  • Liaise effectively with the social housing client and contractors to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders informed at all stages

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing planned works (bathrooms, kitchens, windows, roofs, etc.) in a social housing environment
  • UKATA or IATP Asbestos Awareness certification (essential)
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification (essential)
  • Gold CSCS card or higher (essential)
  • Experience in Net Zero/energy efficiency works is highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
