Introduction

Persian Anglican Community in London (PACL) has a brief to work across the Diocese of London, supporting, equipping, and serving communities of Farsi-speakers in partnership with local churches. This involves identifying local needs, training leaders, and developing materials and dynamics for evangelism and discipleship. Some attendees will come simply for practical help or friendship; others will be seeking to know more about the Christian faith; others will be committed Christians – all are welcome. The work is to be funded for the next three years by a grant from the CoE’s ‘Innovation Fund’ and is payable to the Diocese by the Strategic Development Unit (SDU) of the CoE.

The Project Manager will provide administrative and organisational oversight, as well as reporting, compliance, co-ordination & communication support to the Leadership of the PACL BMO. The PM will also have day to day direct line-management responsibilities for the Pastor/Community Builder, the Discipler/Evangelist and any clergy committed to PACL other than the BMO Leader.

  • Responsibility for the regular and proper reporting to the SDU over the course of the IF period, and to any other funders who may support PACL in the future.

  • Sharing responsibility with other paid staff members for posting lively and broad social media content regularly, using Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and video content on YouTube
  • Communicating with others across the Diocese to ensure a joined-up approach to all we do

Staffing and HR

  • Oversee staffing and volunteer arrangements, including HR arrangements, for the lay-staff and volunteer agreements.
  • Oversee and administer safeguarding arrangements.

Liaison with partner churches

  • Managing the relationship with partnerchurches across the diocese, including those who host PACL events or services, ensuring good relationships, and the smooth running of all operational matters relating to the use of any church or other building by PACL
  • Book spaces for meetings and services, liaising with hosting churches as necessary, and ensure good communication between all parties.

Administration, Monitoring and Impact, and Reporting

  • Setting up & maintaining systems of monitoring team activity and measuring impact
