Oxford Health is a mental health trust dedicated to providing care to communities across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Wiltshire. The Operational Capital team is a crucial part of the Estates team, responsible for delivering essential upgrade and improvement works across our estate.

We are seeking to expand our team and are looking to recruit an experienced construction project manager to complement our already dynamic team. This role is integral to our mission of continually enhancing our facilities to better serve our community.

As a 24/7 organisation, there will be some requirements to adjust the working week to suit the needs of the project. This structure offers both flexibility to the successful applicant and benefits to the organisation, ensuring that project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in construction project management, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery in similar roles.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve supporting the development of continuous improvements across the Estate by working with stakeholders from various sectors. Your responsibilities will be diverse, requiring strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

  • Engage effectively with a range of stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Manage complex projects, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate work on-site, ensuring that tasks are aligned, and progress is tracked.
  • Gather and collate regular updates from various team members and stakeholders

You will:

  • Provide regular project reports that detail progress, challenges, and next steps.
  • Support the development and maintenance of all project documentation and tracking tools.
  • Maintain a detailed suite of project plans, business cases, quality records, and improvement plans.
  • Maintain a high level of analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Collate and analyse complex information from multiple sources to inform decision-making and project adjustments.
  • Be able to approve RAMS, method statements and issue permits where required.
