Job summary

Egis UK is seeking a Nuclear Project Manager to join the Energy and Sustainable Cities business line. Location: UK-wide, Type: Full-time, Sector Exposure: Nuclear, Water, Environment, Defence.

You’ll be at the heart of our Project Management delivery capability, supporting clients across the full project lifecycle with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related subject is required.
  • Experience with NEC 4 contracts and CDM regulations is desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation and governance of projects including strategy, scope, cost, and schedules.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to meet milestones and governance requirements.
  • Administer NEC3/4 contracts from the client side and support commercial delivery.
  • Develop processes and templates to improve project delivery and risk management.

Project Manager – Nuclear, Egis UK

Reporting to the Nuclear Project Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our Project Management delivery capability, supporting clients across the full project delivery lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and supply chain partners to deliver excellent project management services, compliance and performance. Your skills will help shape smarter, safer, and more resilient infrastructure.

As a Project Manager, you’ll play a hands‑on role in ensuring our clients projects and programmes run smoothly and to the highest standards.

Role Responsibilities
Project Preparation
  • Support preparation of initial strategy, scope development, cost estimates, schedules and feasibility assessments
  • Embed safety is all activities and outputs
  • Lead in compiling business cases, governance, tender documents and reviewing submissions
  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Confidently participate in stakeholder engagement during all phases
  • Keep multidisciplinary teams aligned to schedule milestones and report progress to governance forums
  • Mapping requirements and cross-functional dependencies to maintain an integrated project view
Delivery, Monitoring & Oversight
  • Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, aligning outputs to schedule
  • Support cross-functional readiness
  • Monitor project progress, cash flow, and expenditure and provide regular updates to senior leadership and through governance forums
  • Support delivery through facilitating and managing change control and variation(s)
  • Support excellent organisational management and final account preparation
  • Ensure appropriate record keeping and contract compliance
  • Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with governance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in dispute avoidance forums and support resolution activity
Contract & Commercial Delivery
  • Administer NEC3/4 contracts from the client side
  • Support budget control, forecasting, and defined cost planning
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on monthly valuations and payment certificates
  • Assist in drafting contractual communications (EWNs, CE notifications, etc.)
Operational Support & Process Improvement
  • Develop processes, templates, and tools to support project delivery and mitigate risk(s)
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practice
  • Maintain project databases, visuals, and supporting collateral
  • Contribute to internal reporting, governance, and delivery reviews
  • Provide support to ensure capability development, readiness activities, and cross-functional integration is delivered to client requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree qualification in a related subject
  • Experience of success in the delivery of projects, acting as Project Manager.
  • Understanding of the application of NEC 4 forms of contract
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge and application of CDM
  • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices and policies.

  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management
  • Familiarity with the full construction lifecycle
  • A strong appetite for continuous learning and self development
  • Fully conversant with all commonly utilised office IT packages as well as industry specific systems (e.g. contract management)
  • Experience of common PM methodologies and systems (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Prince2)
  • Chartered or desire to pursue chartered membership (e.g., APM)
  • Working knowledge of NEC3/4
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Right to work in the UK
  • This role is subject to client interview and acceptance
