Internal to Service business unit only

You’ll be directly engaging with customers in leadership roles (IT Manager, Programme Manager, etc.) and be viewed by them as leading significant and highly visible delivery projects. Your team’s output and behaviors will shape customer experience. Preferably, you will have telecoms experience in core network, WAN/LAN, or cloud voice/contact centre environments. You will promote and shape project management methods and ensure team compliance with governance and standards set by the PMO or contract.

Location: Glasgow (due to customer contract)

What you’ll be doing
  • Accountable for leading the delivery of large, complex projects, programmes, or portfolios that provide significant benefit/risk to customers. The delivery will be highly visible and recognisable.
  • Manage project risk, adapting recognized project management methods depending on risk profile and governance needs.
  • Ensure the PMO and resourcing functions have clear visibility of upcoming demand and contract requirements.
  • Act as a customer champion, establishing customer needs and leveraging operational and technical expertise to deliver excellent experiences by resolving issues and ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Understand the customer’s business context and the impact of the programme on business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Practice and Hub Managers, and the Client Services team to ensure consistent delivery.
Skills You'll Need
  • Experience delivering a broad range of IT and network technologies across various sectors.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets from £1 million to £20 million, including resources and hardware.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering technical solutions.
  • Commercial and financial acumen to identify profit or business opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with multiple partners.
  • Negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to understand customer challenges and interpret commercial contracts for risks and opportunities.
