Job Description:

A large FM and Maintenance contractor, managing a contract for the Ministry of Defence to maintain UK MOD sites, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. This is a temporary role for 6 months on a rolling contract. The role requires security clearance to BPSS level.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager to oversee a £2-3 million refurbishment package across various MOD sites. The work will be based four days on-site in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, with one day working from home. The projects involve re-roofing, replacements, full refurbishments of accommodation blocks, and road re-tarmacing.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely and efficiently, managing safety protocols, CDM regulations, issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful and timely completion.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Meeting with senior management and clients to define project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  2. Developing and updating detailed project plans.
  3. Assigning tasks based on team members' skills and experience.
  4. Monitoring external contractor performance to ensure deadlines are met.
  5. Providing project status reports to stakeholders.
  6. Collaborating effectively with all project stakeholders.
  7. Developing leadership and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

About you:

  • Experienced construction project manager with a background in refurbishment and small works.
  • Trade qualification, degree, or equivalent in construction, management, or engineering.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations.
