The project:

A great opportunity for a Project Manager to join our established Ministry of Justice sector within Mace, which is currently experiencing an exciting and sustained period of growth. The existing team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects of the highest quality across the MoJ prison portfolio. You will be working on one of the largest Mace programmes with an Alliance Framework Contractor and professional team. The projects incorporate the latest Modern Methods of Construction and standardised processes. The role involves supporting project delivery through procurement and construction phases. This position is within our consultancy business, specifically the justice sector.

This role suits a candidate looking to further their career in a fast-paced, industry-leading project or programme. It is a client-facing role based partly on-site, responsible for managing consultant teams and stakeholders, working with the project lead to ensure successful delivery. The project involves constructing new prison facilities and refurbishing existing ones in Wigan. You will manage the project lifecycle to meet time, cost, technical, and quality requirements, develop project plans, and lead a professional team to execute the client’s strategy. The role involves hybrid working with on-site attendance at least 3 days a week.

Qualifications:

Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent. Extensive experience in project delivery, especially in the public sector, with prison projects preferred. Property or infrastructure project management expertise, commercial acumen, and experience with contracts like NEC4.
