Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to oversee mechanical installations and construction projects across London and the South East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical installations and construction, with proven ability to manage projects safely, on time, and within budget.

About this role
  • Prepare site-specific health and safety documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Review and distribute safety certification and ensure compliance.
  • Procure plant, materials, and accessories, negotiating costs to secure competitive pricing.
  • Oversee installation works in line with client drawings and instructions.
  • Manage testing of installed services and forward certification/documentation as required.
  • Control project costs and monitor budgets.
  • Liaise with line managers to discuss progress and resolve issues.
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and to budget.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in mechanical installations (pipework, steelworks, tank building, chillers, boilers, pharmaceutical sector).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project cost control.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, terminology, and regulations.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
