Overview

Project Manager – Portsmouth, Hampshire – Full-Time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services. You'll be joining a well-established and fast-growing engineering firm delivering high-quality projects across the UK and internationally. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a forward-thinking organisation operating across a diverse range of sectors including Defence, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Government Agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Up to £2m in value.
  • Develop and manage detailed project programmes and schedules
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure all technical specifications are met
  • Organise and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Oversee and implement all health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, and permit-to-work systems
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
  • Proactively manage project scope and variations to ensure commercial success
  • Accurately estimate labour and materials, and produce regular project progress reports
  • Attend site visits as required
About You
  • Proven experience managing M&E or construction-related projects
  • Good understanding of building services
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Confident managing people and coordinating with subcontractors
  • Commercially aware with experience in project finances and variation control
  • Capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Security clearance would be an advantage
