Job Overview

The Project Manager / Project Management Consultant will play a pivotal role in leading renewable energy projects. This role will oversee projects from pre-construction through execution, ensuring all technical, regulatory, and financial aspects are effectively managed. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution within budget and schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Oversee multiple renewable energy projects from development through construction, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with internal and external teams, including engineering, supply chain, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and construction.
  • Scope Development: Work with environmental, regulatory, and land acquisition teams to optimize technical scope and financial feasibility.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop, manage, and present financial models and budgets to business units and executive leadership.
  • Contract Management: Source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services and equipment procurement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, regulatory agencies, and community representatives.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, proactively mitigating risks.
  • Project Execution: Transition projects to the construction phase with a fully executable plan, including supply chain logistics, construction planning, and site readiness.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Develop detailed reports, schedules, and cost analysis using Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in engineering, project management, or construction within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and cost forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification..
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, and Excel.
  • Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery projects is a plus.
