GSH Projects is recruiting a Project Manager to join our Major Projects team based in Weston-super-Mare. This position will manage and lead individual and multi-disciplined Commercial projects.

You will be directly accountable for working with our team and third parties to meet projected delivery dates and stay within budget on all projects and solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

The main duties/responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Lead and assist in the development of projects and programs that establish quality objectives.
  2. Manage teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design and development, testing, installation, and final delivery.
  3. Oversee a department and team of project managers, including budget management, scheduling, and risk analysis.
  4. Interface directly with managers, employees, vendors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
  5. Create a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control, and risk factors.
  6. Identify complex risks, lead reviews, create risk mitigation plans, and implement action plans.
  7. Manage multiple projects individually and as a team, all simultaneously.
  8. Protect confidential and sensitive information.
  9. Enhance the company and department reputation by owning responsibilities, exploring new possibilities, and adding value to the organization.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, goals, and missions.
  11. Attend sites to complete surveys, inspections, and project completion meetings.

Qualification/Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience within the commercial construction industry.
  • Stakeholder management.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with building regulations and building control.
  • Knowledge and experience working with PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation).

Founded in 2013, GSH Projects has expanded to provide fit-out & passive fire protection works within the commercial sector. Our client base includes student accommodation, social housing, retail, offices, hospitals, and local councils. We are a nationwide full-service contractor with 3 divisions: Small Works, Major Projects, & Passive Fire Protection.

Further information:

  • This role is full-time, permanent (37.5 hours/week), based in Weston-super-Mare.
  • Overnight stays may be required.
  • Immediate start.
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days + 1 for your birthday + 8 statutory holidays.
  • 10 days annual sick pay entitlement.
  • WPA Healthcare cash plan – Level 2.
  • Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
