Stevenage Borough Council is seeking two Project Managers for the Major Works Delivery Team to oversee planned maintenance and capital improvements across council housing stock. You will lead multi-trade projects from procurement through delivery, ensuring safety, quality and on-time completion.

Candidates should have strong construction knowledge, experience with budgets and programmes, and familiarity with JCT contracts. Benefits include pension, flexible working, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale, multi-trade construction projects on the client side.
• Strong knowledge of building construction and relevant regulations.
• Experience with budgets, programmes and contractor management.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Membership of RICS or CIOB or PM qualification advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage planned maintenance and capital improvement projects across housing portfolio.
• Oversee procurement, contract administration, budgets and programmes.
• Manage contractors and consultants, ensure quality and value for money.
• Monitor risks, costs and progress; take action as needed.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and health and safety.
• Work with residents, leaseholders and internal teams for effective communication.
• Provide direction to staff, including Clerks of Works and Technical Support Officers.
