Job description

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Westminster Council, which is offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months, with a view to extension or a permanent position for the right candidate. The rate is negotiable depending on experience.

We are seeking a Project Manager (M&E). This role is based in SW1E6QP and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an experienced and qualified Project Manager with a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering, capable of delivering complex capital projects for Westminster City Council (WCC).
  • Oversee all phases of M&E project delivery, from planning through to completion.
  • Manage project documentation, financial control, and reporting.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and supervise contractors and site staff.
  • Implement quality assurance measures and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and risks, addressing issues proactively.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between WCC, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret technical drawings and lead technical problem-solving.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, upholding WCC’s interests.

We require the following qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing M&E projects of various scales and complexities.
  • Membership with a recognized third-party M&E institution such as IMechE or CIOB.
  • Strong financial management skills and experience in budget control.
