Job summary

A client based in Greater London is seeking a talented Project Manager on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the Democratic Services team, coordinating significant projects and initiatives to enhance transparency and decision-making within the organization. Extensive experience in project management, coupled with a PRINCE2 qualification and local authority experience, is essential. Hybrid working is offered along with a competitive hourly rate.

Job description

My client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Project Manager on a Contract basis.

My client is seeking an experienced project manager to support their Democratic Services team. You will work closely with the Mayor's and Chief Executive's Offices to meet their commitment to transparent and effective decision-making.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: 29 per hour, inside IR35
  • Negotiable based on experience

  • Monday to Friday

You will be coordinating several key projects, such as:

  • Organising the Newham Civic Awards judging and ceremony
  • Coordinating induction and training for elected members
  • Leading initiatives to increase voter turnout and participation for the Local and Mayoral Elections in May 2026
  • Supporting committee services, including organising the Annual Council meeting in May

About you:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • PRINCE2 project management qualification
  • An understanding of the political context and environment
  • Local Authority experience is essential
