Job Description
The Leisure, Parks and Green Spaces Service is part of the Climate, Homes and Economy Directorate and delivers quality services and programmes for Hackney. It has a key role in providing services that are universal yet flexible to meet diverse needs. The Service is responsible for five main areas:

The Projects & Programmes team is seeking a Project Manager to oversee various projects benefiting the borough. You will be responsible for transforming ideas into solutions, working with Parks Development and Parks Operations teams on projects related to leisure and green spaces. This role is vital in making Hackney a place for everyone.
Responsibilities include conducting site visits and meetings across Hackney, planning and delivering projects within statutory, legal, and procurement frameworks, managing complex budgets (including external funding), and understanding contract and financial management.
The ideal candidate will have strong influencing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to motivate internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, officers, and the public. A good understanding of Planning, Procurement, and Construction is essential, with experience in capital projects and physical builds preferred. A Project Management qualification and experience in a Leisure or Green Spaces environment are desirable.
