A leading multidisciplinary research university in the UK is seeking a Project Manager (Lead) for a net-zero food supply chains project. You will lead a £2.6 million initiative impacting food supply systems within London, engaging stakeholders and managing a small team. Salary: Grade 10 from: pro-rata £61,929 to £67,422 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to pro-rata £71,365 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.
Hours: Part-time 0.6 FTE
Contract Type: Fixed-term 48 months
Brunel University London was established in 1966 and is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive technology university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits.
The postholder will lead the delivery of a £2.6 million EPSRC-funded project, "Net-zero Food Supply Chains," impacting West London's food supply systems within the Park Royal Industrial Estate, known as ‘London’s Kitchen’, hosting over 500 businesses in the food and drink sector, producing about 30% of London’s food and drink, and contributing approximately £8bn annually to the economy.
The role involves developing and implementing strategies for grant delivery, engaging with Park Royal businesses, leading a team of two Business Development Managers specializing in net zero energy systems, AI & big data, or waste reduction and valorisation, and managing operational aspects including financial reporting, activities, outcomes, and KPIs to senior staff, committees, and EPSRC.
