Your guidance will ensure projects meet their goals, stay on track, and support our organizational aspirations. We are looking for someone who connects technical needs with our strategic vision and fosters a collaborative spirit within a biomedical research institute.

Responsibilities
  • Steer projects through their lifecycle—from gathering initial needs to guiding development, overseeing testing, and ensuring smooth integration into daily operations.
  • Craft comprehensive project plans with clear aims, milestones, budget management, stakeholder engagement strategies, transparent communication, and operationalization plans.
  • Ensure every project requirement is fully understood and captured from stakeholders across research labs, IT, HR, and other departments.
  • Proactively manage scope, timelines, and budgets; identify and navigate challenges while communicating progress and potential shifts to IT leadership and partners.
  • Facilitate meaningful technical discussions among subject matter experts with a practical understanding of technologies.
  • Help project teams navigate IT landscapes, including on‑premises and co‑location systems, cloud platforms, AI solutions, and enterprise systems like Workday, Adaptive Planning, or JAGGAER One.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of technical nuances to guide and empower technical teams.
  • Cultivate collaboration with diverse teams in a hybrid work setting; articulate objectives clearly to all project teams and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a central point for project communications and ensure open, timely information sharing.
  • Provide strong, compassionate leadership to support teammates, foster a positive and inclusive team dynamic, and encourage adaptability to challenges.
  • Apply agile principles using tools such as Trello, Slack, Zoom, and Miro to facilitate teamwork and efficient project flows.
  • Learn from best practices and suggest and help implement new tools, approaches, or ideas to enhance project management.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in embracing new technologies and evolving operating environments.
  • Follow established IT service management processes and procedures; ensure alignment with IT security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology and Digital Strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • 3 years of dedicated IT project management experience with a track record of guiding diverse technology projects.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional project teams without direct managerial responsibility.

  • Familiarity with modern collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., Trello, Slack, Zoom, Miro).
  • Understanding of current IT technologies and operating environments, including hybrid infrastructures, cloud platforms, and emerging AI.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as HRIS (e.g., Workday), financial planning (e.g., Adaptive Planning), or procurement (e.g., JAGGAER One) is a bonus.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving bottlenecks and strong risk management abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to chart priorities within project scope.
  • Genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a non-profit organizational culture.
