Job summary

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm, is hiring Project Managers to support high-profile infrastructure projects across London and the South-East. Based in our London office, you will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex programmes.

The role requires strong experience in infrastructure project/programme management, contract handling, and effective stakeholder engagement, with opportunities for hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in management, construction or infrastructure-related subjects.
• Professional affiliation with APM, ICE, ITP, or similar.
• Project management certification (APM, PRINCE2 or MSP) required.
• NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects across the lifecycle from inception to delivery.
• Manage contracts, governance, and client objectives.
• Oversee financial management and project controls.
• Lead and develop project teams and stakeholders.

Education

Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, we are looking for Project Managers to support our to clients deliver a wide range of high-profile projects across Infrastructure. As a member of our growing team, you would be working to help us make a difference with our clients in delivering a diverse range of highly complex projects and programmes. You would be based in our London office and likely spend your time with colleagues and client teams based across London and the South-East region. Dependant on client requirements, most of our roles support a hybrid working pattern.

Project Managers at Turner & Townsend:

Project Managers at Turner & Townsend work on a broad range of projects and programmes inAviation, Roads, Rail, Water/Utilities,and many more. We are looking for individuals with the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Experience of infrastructure project management and/or programme management across the project lifecycle, including: project management principles; delivering to client objectives; contract management; leadership and teamwork; financial management and project controls; health, safety, quality and environmental management
• Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with a diverse range of personalities across clients and partner organisations and able to build long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients
• Problem solving, analytical and numerical skills with an ability to quickly understand complex problems and shape these into workable solutions for delivery
• Drive and commitment to achieving solutions, including the ability to work under pressure and motivate others
• Planning, communication and organisational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously and communicate effectively with senior client representatives
• Able to lead, manage and develop project teams or work streams as part of larger projects or programmes
• Creative, curious and growth mindset

Beneficial experience:

• Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts
• Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with public sector organisations, non-departmental or arm’s length bodies relevant to infrastructure

Qualifications

Degree or HND qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience

• Professional affiliation, qualification or near qualified status with the APM, ICE, ITP,or similar professional institution
• Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP)
• NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications
