Job summary

A national contracting group in North Wales is seeking a Project Manager to oversee water infrastructure projects. The role requires a Degree or HND in Construction or Project Management and knowledge of NEC contracts. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, client meetings, and ensuring project standards are met. This position offers a chance to join a growing team in a vital sector.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4.
  • Experience of site/project management within civil engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Working with estimating teams on tenders.
  • Developing and presenting project proposals.
  • Meeting with clients to scope out requirements.
  • Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales.
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients.
  • Managing construction schedules and budgets.
  • Attending site meetings to monitor progress.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and site on project.
  • Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards.
  • Overseeing final accounts at the end of a project.

Job description

We are working with a national contracting group who are experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion within thier water and wastewater sector.

They have secured a strong pipeline of future work within the North Wales geographical area and as such have an opening for a Project Manager to join their growing team.

Projects included all aspects of water infrastructure from treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, MEICA and R&M.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with estimating teams on tenders
  • Developing and presenting project proposals
  • Meeting with clients to scope out requirements
  • Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients
  • Managing construction schedules and budgets

Skills and Experience

  • Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4
  • Experience of site/project management within civil engineering
  • Water experience desirable but not essential
