Position: Project Manager
Responsible for analyzing and evaluating customer pipeline needs, providing technical review support to the quotation process, and coordinating projects from initial stage to final completion to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and that T.D. Williamson (TDW) performance levels are met according to contractual terms and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical support and assistance to internal and external sales teams, including managing a ‘bundle’ approach involving various TDW services and products, integrating complex subcontractors and vendors in bid packages, and focusing on strategic activities in business development. Special attention is required for projects needing tight control over low-cost margins or delivery schedules.
- Making regular visits to project sites and customers to ensure satisfaction and that field work proceeds according to plan; taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensuring customer invoices are accurate, aligned with contracts, and submitted timely.
- Developing preliminary project scope and execution plans, applying sound project management skills to pipeline projects.
- Maintaining knowledge of project offerings, pricing, delivery, and technology.
- Attending site visits and customer meetings as necessary.
- Coordinating resources (people and equipment), assigning responsibilities within the project team, including vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Assessing and communicating project risk levels to customers and the services organization.
- Collaborating on best practices in operational excellence, project management, business development, safety, compliance, and customer service to promote a unified TDW culture.
- Providing technical support and training to team members.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field, with at least five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent background.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of project management processes.
- Previous experience as a project coordinator with commercial activity and/or site supervision.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Excellent interpersonal, commercial, and sales skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team on fast-paced projects.
- Decision-making ability affecting project execution.
