Job summary

A leading global supplier of power solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their UK team. This role focuses on managing project delivery, including overseeing tendering, transport, installation, and maintenance of power transformers. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering degree and proven project management experience, preferably with National Grid or Principal Contractors. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant substation contracts.

Job description

The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading global supplier of high voltage power transformers, with project experience in over 70 countries.

Due to securing significant substation contracts with National Grid, they are looking for a Project Manager to focus on Project Delivery in their expanding UK team. The role includes managing the tendering, transport, installation, construction, and maintenance of power transformers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Scoping, scheduling, and controlling the project throughout its lifecycle after taking over from the sales team.
  2. Leading communication with relevant stakeholders, including subcontractors, the HQ sales and commercial team, the Factory team, and customers.
  3. Identifying issues and risks related to the project.
  4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and gathering their feedback.
  5. Managing project documents such as design, quality, progress reports, and contractual deliverables.
  6. Supporting tendering activities.

Your Profile:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree or a relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in project management for National Grid or Principal Contractors, preferably in power transformers.
