Job Description:

Project Manager - 400kV - High Voltage (Permanent)

This is a permanent role - freelance contracts will not be considered.

The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading global supplier of high voltage power transformers with project experience in over 70 countries.

Due to securing significant substation contracts with National Grid, they are looking for a Project Manager to focus on project delivery in their expanding UK team. The role includes managing the tendering, transport, installation, construction, and maintenance of power transformers.

Responsibilities:

  • Scoping, scheduling, and controlling the project during its entire lifecycle after taking over from the sales team.
  • Leading communication with relevant stakeholders, including subcontractors, the HQ sales and commercial team, the factory team, and customers.
  • Identifying issues and risks related to the project.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with customers and collecting their feedback.
  • Controlling project documents such as design, quality reports, progress reports, and contractual deliverables.
  • Supporting tendering activities.

Your Profile:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree or a relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in project management roles for National Grid or principal contractors, preferably in power transformers.
