Project Manager – High End Residential Joinery

Location: Kent (Workshop based with travel to Sites in London)

We’re recruiting for a well-established and highly regarded specialist joinery contractor working on some of London’s most prestigious private residential projects.

They produce and install bespoke, high-value joinery packages – from detailed cabinetry to full interior fit-outs – on projects typically ranging from £200k to over £1m in value.

Due to a growing order book, they are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple joinery packages from initial client meetings through to handover.

The Role

This is a client-facing, front-end leadership role that spans the full life cycle of each joinery package – including design coordination, production oversight and quality assurance on site.

You will act as the main point of contact for the client and design team, while managing internal coordination with drafting, production, and installation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take full ownership of joinery projects from design stage to final installation.
  • Attend and lead client, contractor, and design team meetings.
  • Coordinate design development with the in-house drafting team and oversee technical detailing.
  • Survey sites and gather site-specific information to feed into the design and programme.
  • Provide key programme dates and milestones throughout each project.
  • Oversee production in the workshop and ensure alignment with agreed timelines and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the in houseHead of Installation and site team to ensure smooth delivery and quality assurance.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure accurate reporting of project financials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, interior designers, architects, and other trades.
  • Ensure the company’s reputation for precision and quality is upheld throughout.

About You:

  • Strong background in high-end residential joinery.
  • Able to read and interpret joinery drawings and have a good technical understanding of joinery manufacture.
  • Comfortable representing the company at client and design meetings – confident, articulate, and solutions-focused.
  • Organised and proactive with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to work flexibly between the workshop in Kent and project sites in Central London.
