Overview
Our client is a leading property developer / contractor operating in London and the home counties with a multi‑million pound project portfolio of super prime high‑end residential work. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a self‑build property developer working alongside some of the best talent in the market. They are seeking Project Managers at varying levels and experience due to a strong pipeline of projects in 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Construction Programme – Proficient in drafting construction programmes. Agreeing subcontractor programmes and incorporating into the overall construction programme. Recognising potential delays in advance and implementing decisive measures to keep the programme on track.
- Managing Steady Flow of Design Information – Familiar with design stakeholders on the job (Project Architect, Engineer, M+E Consultants and others). Confidently host regular Design Coordination Meetings to ensure queries are answered and the site receives the necessary design information to progress works on site as per programme.
- Budget Conscious – Each PM is provided with a construction budget at the beginning of a job. They should be conscious of the project’s budget parameters surrounding weekly spend on general labour and materials. Work packages for principal subcontractors are negotiated and awarded through the main office. Agreed scopes are provided to the PM so they are fully aware of subcontractor responsibilities; prestart meetings with each subcontractor will be attended by the PM.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Manager
- Experience in residential construction (Ideally 15+ years)
- Very programme conscious and driven
- Management and health and safety qualifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong IT skills
