Job summary

A leading contractor in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a £5M commercial new build project in County Down. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing construction projects and will coordinate efforts with various teams to ensure successful and timely completion. They will be responsible for overseeing personnel, maintaining quality standards, and effectively managing site schedules. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a Main Contractor.
  • Background in engineering is desirable.
  • Ability to manage site programme and schedules effectively.

INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

Job Title – Project Manager - £5M Project

Project – Commercial New Build

Job Location – County Down

Salary – £55K-65K Salary plus package (DOE)

About the Company

A fantastic opportunity to work on unique commercial projects in Northern Ireland with a Top Tier Main Contractor.

Applicants must have experience managing new build commercial developments from the ground up.

Minimum 2.5 years of work.

The Role

  • Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
  • Report to and support the Contracts Manager to ensure smooth completion of project.
  • Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
  • Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
  • Work closely with the Senior Engineer to ensure the quality of works being completed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a Main Contractor in UK or ROI.
  • Background in engineering is desirable as this is a technical role project
  • Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines and update the programme when necessary.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
