*** Cyber Security Project Manager - London Market Insurance - London or Birmingham locations - Hybrid Working - 6 month Contract with view to extend***

A leading London Market Insurance business based in the UK is looking to hire a Cyber Security Project Manager with experience in the Insurance or financial services sector to drive a new Cyber Security project to completion. This role will focus on Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes, and you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery to ensure success. The client operates within both waterfall and Agile frameworks, and requires the candidate to have expertise in Cybersecurity, Secure Builds, and Configuration & Vulnerability Management.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong experience working in Wagile environments and a seasoned project manager with solid Cyber Security, Configuration Management, and Vulnerability Management expertise.

You should come from a financial services or insurance background and be comfortable working with stakeholders, CISO, and Programme Managers. Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or Vulcan Cyber is required. Additionally, knowledge of industry frameworks like Cyber Essentials, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or ISO27001 is essential.

Key Skills:

  1. Strong Cyber Security Project Management experience (10+ years)
  2. Experience in Insurance or wider financial services
  3. At least 5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, and domains such as Secure Configuration Management, Secure Builds, Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes
  4. Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile (Wagile) methodologies
  5. Experience working with steering committees, demand management, service transition, project plans, and Project SteerCo
  6. Experience with vulnerability management tools like Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or Vulcan Cyber
  7. Experience in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures
  8. Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices
  9. Strong stakeholder management skills
