Overview
A leading Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to drive Front Office technology initiatives, supporting Pre-Trade and New Business delivery across Bonds, Derivatives, and Structured Finance products.
You will play a key role in managing small to medium-sized product implementations, ensuring the seamless integration of technology with trading and risk systems, while aligning with regulatory and operational requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of Front Office IT projects, from initiation through to implementation.
- Work closely with traders, quants, risk, and technology teams to define business requirements for pre-trade and new product initiatives.
- Oversee project documentation including PIDs, project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and steering committee packs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, meeting business and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate system release management and deployment activities across multiple teams.
- Liaise with Head Office, PMO, and external vendors to align project goals and manage dependencies.
- Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and report to senior stakeholders and executive management.
- Support the onboarding of new structured and derivative products into existing technology stacks.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering IT projects or programmes within financial services, ideally Front Office–focused.
- Strong understanding of financial market products, particularly Bonds, Derivatives, and Structured Finance.
- Proven experience working on Pre-Trade and New Business initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging Front Office and senior management.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Solid grasp of IT functions, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Relevant project management certification (APM, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
