A leading business in Birmingham is seeking a full-time, permanent Project Manager to join their team. The candidate will support a Senior Programme Manager and lead high-value projects in the built environment sector, requiring strong project management skills and a PRINCE2 qualification.

Qualifications

  • Solid Project Management experience in a similar industry.
  • Experience monitoring large-scale project budgets.
  • Knowledge of land law and estate management is a plus.

Job Description:

A fantastic, forward thinking and innovative business based in Birmingham City Centre is currently seeking a full-time, permanent (hybrid) Project Manager to join their growing team. Working within the built environment, the successful candidate will support a Senior Programme Manager in a client-facing Project Manager role. The role involves leading high-value, high-profile projects within the built environment, planning, or engineering sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a PRINCE2 qualification and solid experience as a Project Assistant or similar within the built environment. The role involves working 2 days in the city centre office and 3 days WFH, with some national travel to visit clients and sites.

  • Ensure all projects operate to the highest standards of quality & compliance
  • Manage, monitor, report on, and forecast project financials
  • Develop and agree on detailed project execution plans
  • Produce all project documentation at inception, including Project Plan, Project Specification, and Project Initiation Document
  • Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle to meet expectations
  • Manage project budgets

The ideal candidate must have solid Project Management experience in a similar industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage expectations and overcome objections. Good communication skills, financial management experience, and experience monitoring large-scale project budgets are essential. Knowledge of land law and estate management is a plus.
