The Vacancy - Binnies an RSK company

We are recruiting Project Managers to join our growing Flood, Coast & Environment team based in England and Wales with office locations in Chester, Manchester, Swansea, Bristol, Birmingham, or Bradford on Avon. Our teams consult, deliver and manage projects across Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) and Environment sectors. Your expertise and experience will support key Clients, such as Natural Resources Wales, the Environment Agency, and local authorities. You will be accountable for planning and executing projects within scope, cost, and schedule to meet client requirements. Successful applicants will be based in one of the above offices on a hybrid basis, with travel to client sites essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client requirements in FCERM and Environment sectors
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects regarding scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholders
  • Manage contracts, mainly under NEC suite
  • Lead coordination and production of multidisciplinary projects
  • Create and review proposals and cost estimates for new projects
  • Manage consultancy projects up to £500k revenue

Attributes:

This role is suitable for a Project Manager or Project Engineer with proven project management experience and ambitions to advance. Candidates should possess and demonstrate the following qualifications, experience, skills, and knowledge:

  • Professional qualification in project management, engineering, or environment (e.g., ChPP, CEng, C.WEM, CEnv)
  • Degree in STEM, Geography, or Environment
  • Collaborative leadership skills to manage teams, engage clients, and foster positive change
  • Experience managing projects using NEC contracts in a consultancy setting
  • Proactive, methodical problem-solving approach, both individually and in teams
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, clients, and stakeholders
