Job summary

RSE is recruiting a Project Manager to lead delivery of projects across the UK, supervising sites and delivery teams including engineers, site managers and subcontractors.

The role involves travel to RSE offices and sites nationwide, with accommodation provided. You will oversee client liaison, design and construction coordination, procurement, and health and safety management as part of a dynamic MEICA team.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Filtration/Water experience advantageous.
  • Proven track record in Project Management with engineering or supervisory background.
  • Experience managing NEC contracts.
  • Good time management, multitasking and planning in a busy environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Project liaison from enquiry to final acceptance and documentation.
  • Directing and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices with focus on quality, productivity and safety.
  • Ensure all technical information is available for delivery of design/construction.
  • Interpret and check drawings, specifications and schedules; prepare final documentation.
  • Identify and resolve non-conformance during design and construction.
  • Manage design of systems and products, ensuring alignment with specifications.
  • Procurement of goods and services.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations.
  • Complete contract documents.
  • Produce risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage health, safety and environmental issues.

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, our Asset Operations and Maintenance Team is looking for a Project Manager to join the Filtration Team, servicing projects across the UK. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of projects, or key elements within projects, and manage the performance of projects end-to-end. This will require supervision of operational sites and their delivery teams, including Project Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors and Sub-Contractors.

Our team is growing at a fantastic rate, with clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Scottish Water & Northumbrian Water all providing consistent streams of work for the business.

Please note this position will require travel to other RSE offices and sites across the UK, with accommodation provided by RSE.

Some Of Your Key Duties Of The Role Include
  • Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation. Meeting with clients to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.
  • Instructing, directing, controlling, and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity and safety.
  • Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.
  • Interpret and check drawings, specifications, and schedules for all activities. Directing works accordingly & preparing final documentation (As Built Drawings etc.).
  • Early identification and resolution of non-conformance within both the design and construction phase.
  • Manage the design of systems and products, ensuring alignment with design specifications and technical aspects.
  • Procurement of goods and services.
  • Preparation of estimates and quotations.
  • Completion of contract documents.
  • Production of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Management of health, safety, and environmental issues.
What Do You Need?
  • Qualification to degree / HND/ HNC level in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Filtration/Water experience highly advantageous but other specialist engineering industries will be considered.
  • Proven track record in Project Management, with an engineering or supervisory background.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing NEC contracts.
  • Good time management, with the ability to multitask, plan and organise day-to-day workloads within a busy environment.
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written communication with an ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions.
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to all engineering trades, particularly Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.
  • Innovative thinking, with an ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
