The Role
We are looking for an experienced Relocation Project Manager to lead us through an exciting relocation project between now and December 2025. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the Project Manager will manage a project team that will include FSCS internal and external building consultancy stakeholders to deliver all workstreams within the project programme and will be responsible for the delivery of the project in line with key project milestones, agreed timescales and agreed budget.

Priorities
Be responsible for coordinating all internal aspects of the FSCS office relocation. Schedule and facilitate project meetings with the office relocation project team that includes both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all key FSCS stakeholders, FM, IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Communications have a clear understanding of their project related deliverables and the timescales in which they must be achieved. Work with the property consultancy team to establish a risk register and risk mitigation plans. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a master budget and report on budget management throughout the project programme. Establish transparent communication channels between all stakeholders and act as the central point of communication between all stakeholders. Be the designated move point person presenting updates on project progress to FSCS staff and senior stakeholders as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  1. Demonstrable experience designing and delivering projects from inception to closure using recognised project delivery methodology.
  2. Strong financial acumen with understanding of budgetary control and ability to provide detailed project financial management and reporting.
  3. Experience of planning and schedule management using MSP, including milestone planning, dependencies, CPA, baselining and change control.
  4. Experience of connecting key stakeholders from across the business to deliver the desired outcomes.
  5. A working knowledge of governance, standards, and controls within project management.
  6. Experience of risk management with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and communicating these to all project stakeholders, internal and external alike.
  7. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge at senior stakeholder level.
  8. Advanced knowledge of Change & Project Management Principles.
  9. Prince2 or equivalent qualification.
