Job Description:

About the role

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us on a 12-month FTC basis, or secondment for internal staff. Contract extension beyond the initial 12 months is subject to funding availability.

We seek a highly motivated individual to join our international team of research management, proposal development, and project management experts. As Project Manager, you will monitor project risks, assist project partners in devising and implementing relevant mitigation and contingency plans, and monitor budget expenditure at both project and partner levels, proposing corrective actions when deviations are identified.

This role is eligible for hybrid working.

Please apply using your CV and cover letter/supporting statement outlining how you meet the essential and desirable criteria in the attached JD/person specification.

Cover letters/supporting statements not including this description will not be considered.

About you

You will have significant professional experience in project management, preferably within research or higher education, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects independently. Your background will demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritization, and the ability to deliver under pressure, adapting to changing demands.

You will be experienced in supporting project partners with technical and financial reporting, using structured tools such as templates and data reviews. Your experience will include budget monitoring, financial forecasting, and collaborating with partners for timely updates, as well as supporting risk, issue, and change management processes.

Strong communication skills are essential, including explaining financial and contractual matters clearly to non-specialists. You should be confident in chairing meetings, producing accurate minutes, and following up on actions. You are a self-motivated, proactive team player with excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage sensitive situations diplomatically and discreetly.
