A leading contracting firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage a new school development project in Co. Dublin. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Construction Management, strong background in project management, and have at least five years of experience with main contractors. This role involves overseeing all phases of the project from initiation through to handover and ensuring high-quality execution according to timelines.

Qualifications

Job Title – Project Manager

Job Location – Tallaght, Co. Dublin

Project – School Project

Salary – €80K - €90K plus package

About the Company:

Our client here at Inform3 have a current requirement for an experience Project Manager to join their team. You will be working with a very reputable Main Contractor who specialise in large public works contracts valued up to €50M.

The successful candidate will be managing a new build school development valued at €20m in Co. Dublin that is due to start in the next number of weeks.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience working on modularised projects and working on school projects would be beneficial.

The Role:

  • Assist in preconstruction activities – oversee design approvals, tendering for new projects, subcontractor sourcing etc.
  • Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
  • Meet with clients regularly update them on the progress of the projects.
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
  • Report to and support the Company Director to ensure smooth completion of project.
  • Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
  • Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure the quality of works being completed.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Construction Management or similar.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience with a Main Contractor in NI or ROI.
  • Must have experience work on projects out of the ground through to and handover stages.
  • Experience working on School projects preferable.
  • Strong Trades or Engineering background is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
  • Clean Driver’s License.
