Job Title: Commercial Millwork & Casework Estimator/Project Manager
Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Reports To: Company President
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager with expertise in commercial millwork and casework to join our growing team. This dual-role position is responsible for accurately estimating project costs and timelines while also managing projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural drawings, custom millwork fabrication, and construction project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating (Preconstruction):
Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and addenda to prepare accurate estimates for custom millwork and casework.
Perform quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, material pricing, and vendor/subcontractor solicitations.
Develop comprehensive bid proposals and submit them within specified deadlines.
Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing for future reference.
Project Management (Execution):
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, general contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and manage project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
Coordinate procurement, shop drawing submittals, production, and installation activities.
Monitor budgets, project progress, and change orders, ensuring alignment with original estimates.
Conduct site visits as needed to verify conditions, measure spaces, and support installation teams.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in estimating and project management, preferably in the commercial millwork/casework industry.
Strong understanding of architectural and construction documents.
Proficiency in estimating software (Cabinet Vision, Excel, Microsoft Office) and project management tools.
Familiarity with AWI standards and commercial construction practices.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
CAD or drafting experience is a plus.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field . Equivalent experience considered.
