Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams in the United Kingdom. You will define scope, manage budgets, and drive project execution from charter through closure.

You will refine requirements with stakeholders, develop the WBS, and maintain schedules while balancing competing priorities. Strong communication, risk management, and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent degree and 4+ years of project management experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of quality systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in developing the project charter and management plan, and direct, monitor, and control the project.
  • Meet with stakeholders to refine scope and review with management for approval; create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Develop and manage the project Gantt chart; analyze critical path and major workstreams.
  • Collaborate to establish sub-project budgets and monitor costs within budget.
  • Create project Quality Plans using 1–2 quality planning tools; monitor and maintain plans.
  • Develop a risk management plan; identify risks, analyze them, and implement responses.
  • Contribute to Procurement Management Plan and select procurement partners.
  • Estimate, assign resources; define roles and deliverables; provide performance feedback.
  • Develop a Stakeholder management plan based on expectations analysis.
  • Develop and execute the communications plan for the team and stakeholders.
  • Additional role-specific knowledge may be added by the hiring manager.
  • Build relationships with internal and external personnel; understand quality systems.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, stay calm under pressure, and resolve conflicts.

Job description

  • Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control project. Evaluate tradeoffs within project.
  • Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical path and major workstreams.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and/or project PM to establish sub-project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
  • Partner with project team to create project Quality Plans using 1-2 quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain plans.
  • Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
  • Contribute in the development of a Procurement Management Plan and collaborate on the selection of procurement partners
  • Estimate, acquire and assign project team resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.
  • Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and Execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders
  • Additional role-specific technical areas of responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary by the local hiring manager.
  • Builds successful working relationships with internal and external personnel in various departments. Understands quality system(s).
  • High in emotional intelligence and stays calm under pressure. Adept in conflict resolution
  • Drives results in support of the business, even in the face of demanding timelines. Steps up to take on additional responsibility where appropriate
  • Adept at team management: selects the right people to the right tasks all while maintain team morale and recognizing contributions.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • BS or equivalent and 4+ years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
  • PMP or equivalent preferred
United Kingdom Pay Ranges:
  • United Kingdom: £42,600 - £70,900 GBP Annual
