Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross-functional engineering projects. They collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to ensure projects meet financial, schedule, and customer expectations. Responsibilities include defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication, program execution, resource constraint identification, and working with management for resolution, all while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, relocations, or new installations.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Technical teams to define project scope and equipment specifications.
  • Work with suppliers to obtain costings aligned with project requirements and consolidate these into comprehensive project budgets.
  • Prepare CAPEX submissions, including costing, justification, and approval processes.
  • Design engineering CAD layouts for manufacturing, utilizing 3D printing and site/plant layouts; proficiency in 3D modelling is advantageous.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across various levels and disciplines, including Operators, Directors, Planning, EHS, QA, and Management, to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Safety standards related to Engineering Project Management, including CE requirements, CDM, and Permit to Work procedures.
  • Oversee project installations, review risk and method statements, and supervise internal personnel and external contractors.
  • Compile and submit change requests and change management documentation in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement procedures for Energy Isolation and related safety protocols.
Candidate Profile
  • Qualifications in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
  • Strong project management experience; familiarity with Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Practical experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work within timelines and manage budgets effectively.
  • Flexible, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Enthusiastic, driven, self-motivated, and positive about driving change.
