A multinational, multi-industry company is seeking a Project Manager in Electrical Engineering for a contract role focused on high-voltage projects. Job description

CK Group is recruiting for a Project Manager Electrical Engineering to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a contract basis for 5 months.

Salary:
PAYE GBP454.62 per day or Umbrella GBP601.62 per day.

Role:

• Lead engineer with experience as a CDAE/LCDAE on National Grid projects, delivering large and complex high-voltage projects for major clients in the UK.
• Liaise with project management on engineering budgets, providing forecast cost to complete estimates and justifications for expenditure changes.
• Manage the programme and interface with planning engineers for design.
• Provide forecasts for project completion and resource planning.
• Approve documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and chair design and hazard reviews.

Your Background:

• Minimum HNC/HND in engineering and at least 5 years of applicable experience, or a minimum of 9 years' experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Experience delivering and managing projects valued at GBP300M or managing large, complex projects for National Grid.
• Proven knowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (400kV to 11kV).
• Good teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Essential electricity supply industry experience and understanding of DNO/National Grid standards and drawing practices.
