Project Manager - Electrical/National Grid Projects

CK Group is recruiting for a Project Manager in Electrical Engineering to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a 5-month contract basis.

Salary: PAYE GBP454.62 per day or Umbrella GBP601.62 per day.

Role:

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects, with experience as a CDAE/LCDAE on National Grid projects, delivering large high-voltage projects for major UK clients.
• Liaise with project management on engineering budgets, providing forecast costs and justifications for expenditure changes.
• Manage project programmes and coordinate with planning engineers for design activities.
• Provide forecasts for project completion and resource planning.
• Approve documentation in line with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and chair design and hazard reviews.

Your Background:

• HNC/HND in engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without formal qualifications.
• Experience managing projects valued at GBP300M or large, complex projects for National Grid.
• Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (400kV to 11kV).
• Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Essential experience in the electricity supply industry and understanding of DNO/National Grid standards and drawing practices.
