Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Project Manager Electrical Engineering to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a contract basis for 5 months.

Salary:
PAYE GBP454.62 per day or Umbrella GBP601.62 per day.

Role: Project Manager Electrical Engineer

• Lead engineer with experience as a CDAE/LCDAE on National Grid projects, delivering large high-voltage projects for major clients in the UK.
• Liaise with project management on engineering budgets, provide forecast cost to complete estimates, and justify changes in expenditure.
• Manage the programme and interface with planning engineers for design.
• Provide forecasts for project completion and resource planning.
• Approve documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and chair design reviews and hazard reviews.

Your Background

• HNC/HND in an engineering field with at least 5 years of applicable experience, or at least 9 years of experience if without HNC/HND.
• Experience delivering and managing projects valued at GBP300M or managing large, complex projects for National Grid.
• Proven knowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (400kV to 11 kV).
• Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Essential experience in the electricity supply industry and understanding of DNO/National Grid standards and drawing practices.
