Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Dumfries branch. You will manage multiple projects across the UKWWS, including audits, delivery, cost control and client liaison.
The role requires a driving licence, engineering background, NEC3/NEC4 experience, and a track record delivering engineering projects on time. You will lead field technicians and contribute to profitable project reviews.
Qualifications
- Valid driving license is required.
- Engineering background preferred.
- Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts is desirable.
- Background in M&E or construction projects is important.
- Track record of delivering engineering projects to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from high value/low volume to high volume/low value.
- Visit customer sites, conduct audits, manage field technician teams.
- Own project management from quotes/approval to delivery, cost control, supplier engagement and invoicing.
- Liaise with customers and manage relationships.
- Lead field technicians, manage work orders and planning including critical path.
- Lead commercial project reviews and agree terms for new projects.
- Monitor costs and report across projects.
- Identify risks in scope/terms and develop mitigation plans.
- Prepare monthly status/KPI reports on profitability and performance.
- Maximise sales opportunities by engaging customers and offering innovative solutions.
- Apply a consultative, problem-solving approach delivering engineering solutions.

Working within Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team, we support water utility companies by inspecting, maintaining, refurbing and installing sewage waste filtration and handling equipment across the United Kingdom.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Dumfries branch.
- Manage multiple projects, from high volume, low value, to High value, low volume.
- Visit Customer sites, carry out audits, manage teams of field technicians
- Responsible from start to finish for Project Management - of quotes/approval, delivery, cost control, supplier engagement and implementation, to invoice.
- Liaison, engagement, and relationship management, direct with customers.
- Management of, and responsibility for a team of field technicians, work orders and planning including critical path, process orders and RAMS.
- Lead commercial project reviews and agree terms for all new projects (Internal & External).
- Take ownership of accurate cost monitoring and reporting across multiple projects.
- Identify areas of risk in relation to both scope and commercial terms and develop mitigation plans with the projects team.
- Author monthly status/KPI reports in relation to project profitability, performance, efficiency, and sales revenue planning.
- Maximise sales opportunities by engaging with customers, offering innovative solutions and encouraging all personnel to do the same.
- Utilize a consultative, problem solving approach and offer an engineering solution, leading to excellent customer satisfaction.
- Current Valid Driving License.
- Engineering background preferred.
- Experience working with engineering contracts, preferably under NEC3 & NEC4.
- Background in M&E or construction projects.
- Success in delivering engineering projects to tight deadlines.
