A HVAC project management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a ductwork bias to oversee installation projects across various sectors. The role requires a strong background in HVAC systems, particularly in ductwork design and installation, with responsibilities including planning, coordination, and compliance with industry regulations. Our client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager with a ductwork bias to oversee the successful delivery of ductwork installation projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, particularly in ductwork design, coordination, and installation, and will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of ductwork and associated HVAC projects from pre-construction through to handover.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and project progression.
Lead project meetings, including design coordination, health and safety, and progress updates.
Monitor installation progress on-site, conduct site inspections, and resolve any technical or logistical issues.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, specifications, and quality standards (e.g., DW144, CIBSE).
Prepare and manage project programmes, procurement schedules, and cost tracking.
Coordinate labour and subcontractor activity, ensuring high productivity and safety standards.
Work closely with estimating, CAD, procurement, and site teams to align execution with project scope.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC or mechanical building services industry.
Strong technical knowledge of ductwork systems (RDS, DW144 standards, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret HVAC technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations (CDM, RAMS, etc.).
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
IT proficiency (Microsoft Project, Excel, AutoCAD viewer, or similar).
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
SMSTS or SSSTS certification
IOSH or NEBOSH health & safety training
Mechanical Engineering or HVAC qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent)
