It is an exciting time for the Gold Standard Foundation, especially around the digitalisation of our various platforms, tools and products. Due to these projects and the growth of Gold Standard, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us on a permanent basis.

This role will suit someone who enjoys shaping digital roadmaps and working closely with cross-functional teams and external IT delivery partners. Agile experience is essential, as we're looking for someone who can help keep things moving and ensure steady project delivery.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Please note we are unable to sponsor visas and only candidates with valid right to work documents in Germany or the UK will be considered.

WHO WE ARE:

Gold Standard is a not-for-profit organization that helps companies understand the role they should play in creating a net-zero, sustainable nature future and provides tangible ways for them to contribute. This includes investments in their value chains, carbon credits, and other mechanisms for high-integrity climate action that delivers real impact for people and nature.

The Gold Standard Foundation was established in 2003 by WWF and other international NGOs as a best practice standard to ensure projects that reduced carbon emissions under the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) also delivered sustainable development benefits. Today, our standard, ‘Gold Standard for the Global Goals’, allows climate and development initiatives within carbon markets, corporate supply chains, and sustainable finance to manage, measure and maximise their impacts toward the Net Zero ambition of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  1. Engaging key stakeholders on projects and digital programs to align expectations and objectives.
  2. Developing and owning communication plans to proactively update stakeholders at an executive level on project status, issues, and risks.
  3. Managing cross-functional dependencies, risks and changes effectively by optimising scope, schedule and resources.
  4. Driving change management initiatives by facilitating smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and organisational structures.
  5. Aligning digital projects with business goals and IT strategy to maximise value and impact.
  6. Ensuring compliance with data security, privacy regulations and IT governance policies throughout the project lifecycle.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  1. Prince2 or PMP certification.
  2. CSM certification or equivalent Agile/Scrum-based project experience.
  3. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage internal teams, external partners and leadership.
  4. Experience of working in cloud software projects (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  5. Familiarity with developer tools, such as JIRA, GitHub.
  6. A good understanding of the Microsoft Ecosystem (SharePoint, Azure, M365/D365).
  7. Proven implementation of project management methodology in a professional setting.
  8. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and Service Management best practices is a plus.
  9. Practical knowledge of reporting methods.
  10. Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Familiarity working in an NGO environment is a plus.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  1. All Employees are entitled to 30 days of holiday, pro-rated for part-time Employees.
  2. Remote Working Contribution for remote workers.
  3. Home office set up allowance.
  4. A mission-driven organisation working at the leading edge of climate and sustainability.
  5. Rewarding work in a dynamic non-profit environment.
  6. A collaborative workplace within a multicultural team.
  7. An ambitious, agile and flexible environment.
  8. We are unable to sponsor VISAs.
  9. Only candidates with the correct right to work documents and living in the locations stated will be considered.

OUR VALUES:

Pioneering - We focus on those that have the most promise to contribute to our vision and mission, bringing them to market with the requisite planning and resources.

Rigorous - We build on our reputation for quality and rigor with more robust measurement of outcomes, stronger safeguards and greater impact across the Sustainable Development Goals. Our objective is to make rigor simpler and more achievable at scale.

Collaborative - We work with key partners who share our goals and complement our strengths. Our partnership strategy aims to move beyond working opportunistically as a delivery partner in favour of collaborating in long-term strategic synergy.

Transparent - We were established to bring confidence, trust, and accountability to carbon markets. We will continue to take strides to improve transparency in our own processes, in the broader market and in non-market mechanisms.
