Job Description:

We are currently seeking Construction Project Managers to lead project management within a growing boutique Development/Construction Management consultancy in Bedfordshire.

Qualified candidates such as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, or Building Surveyors with experience in RIBA stages 4-7 are encouraged to apply.

The role involves managing projects from £k to £20m, with opportunities to develop a new team of Project Managers and advance within the company.

This position offers professional development, a personalized progression plan, and the chance to significantly contribute to the company's growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete project management documentation such as programmes, risk registers, and issue logs.
  • Monitor design processes to ensure timely and quality completion.
  • Prepare tender documents and oversee contractor selection.
  • Negotiate construction contracts and coordinate the preparation of Employer's Requirements.
  • Attend progress meetings to review quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Manage external project management partners on large projects.
  • Oversee project completion, handover, and final account processes.
  • Maintain continuous engagement with clients and ensure effective communication.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in UK construction consultancy or client-side development.
  • BSc/MSc in Project Management or related field.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects at RIBA stages 4-7.
  • Experience coordinating projects through RIBA stages with internal and external consultants.
  • Ownership of development programmes during tender and construction phases.
  • Experience managing design and procurement under Design and Build contracts.
  • Understanding of JCT contracts and bespoke documentation.
  • Motivated, responsible, and committed to high-quality work.
