Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Project Manager for Sea Trials, positioned in Barrow-in-Furness or HM Naval Base Faslane. In this role, you will manage Sea Trials, ensuring compliance with BAE's requirements and work closely with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have strong Project Management and Testing experience and the flexibility to travel and operate at sea.

Job description

Job Title: Project Manager – Delivery (Sea Trials)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness or HM Naval Base Faslane.We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £56,000+ depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establishing management arrangements for Sea Trials to generate and maintain the Sea Trials Programme
  • Preparing for the advancement of Sea Trials, ensuring BAE requirements are met
  • Performing the role of BAE Systems representative at sea
  • Supporting Astute Sea Trials obligations
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Supervising and monitoring of staff

Your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Project Management experience
  • Testing & Commissioning experience
  • Willingness to go to sea on a Submarine
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Royal Navy Submarine background
  • Knowledge of Naval Bases (Faslane Ideally)

The Post-Exit & Acceptance Team:

You’ll have a balance of collaborative work with industry partners and independent assignments, including deployments off-site both within the UK and abroad. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
