Job description

Job Description

Contract opportunity for an experienced technical project manager with experience in the defence sector. This role is expected to last 9 to 12 months, with reviews every 3 months. You will be responsible for managing a large new defence project and assisting the business in launching this project.

This is a new customer for our client, with a strict deadline for project delivery. You need to be able to start on short notice and hit the ground running. Testing and validation of the product will be significant in initiating this project; experience in product testing and liaising with test facilities will be highly beneficial. The ideal candidate should be self-sufficient, able to work independently, and engage effectively with engineering teams to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.

The candidate must have extensive experience managing projects from inception to completion. The role offers flexibility, considering part-time (3 days a week) or full-time options. The position is based in Milton Keynes with a 50/50 split between in-office and remote work.

It is crucial that you have experience managing defence projects. Involvement with aerospace projects is also desirable but secondary to defence experience.

Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments is beneficial, though not mandatory. If interested, please click to apply, and Graeme Marks will contact you with more information.
