Job description

Contract opportunity for an experienced technical project manager with defence sector experience. This role is expected to last 9 to 12 months, with reviews every 3 months.

Responsibilities include project managing a large new defence project and assisting the business in launching this project. The role involves working with a new customer with a strict deadline. Candidates should be able to start on short notice.

A significant part of the role involves testing and validation of the product, so knowledge of product testing and liaising with test facilities is highly beneficial.

Ideal candidates are self-sufficient and capable of working independently, while also engaging with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence. Extensive experience in managing projects from start to finish is required.

The role can be part-time (3 days/week) or full-time. It is based in Milton Keynes with home working allowed, considering a 50/50 split between office and home.

Experience in managing defence projects is crucial. Some involvement with aerospace projects and experience in engineering/manufacturing environments would be advantageous, though not mandatory.
