Description

We are looking to strengthen our Facilities team with an experienced Project Manager to work on a decommissioning project from decommissioning and strip out of wheelshop machinery to the civils reinstatement of the area.

Roles Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Project planning, structuring, and scheduling ensuring all key stakeholders are involved and information is effectively documented and shared.
  • Monitor, develop and progress the project plan/schedule - acting as the link between the business, work crews, suppliers, sub-contractors, auction house, structural engineer and local authority planning department ensuring critical tasks and milestones are met.
  • Development and use of Bills of Material to record material requirements for the project and work with procurements to place orders.
  • Day to day involvement in delivering the project requirements in terms of managing work crews, materials ordering, safe removal, sale and delivery of heavy machinery and progressing quality control.
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are in place and observed.
  • Promote Brodie Engineering's behavioural expectations by enhancing and supporting working relationships within the business, customers and external agencies.

Key Relationships & Contracts

  • Reporting directly to Facilities Director
  • Working closely with: Production, Procurement and HSQE.

Key Skills Required For The Role

  • Experienced project manager with experience in civils and decommissioning of services in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
  • Relevant project management qualification is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills, able to brief Directors, staff and suppliers on progress and next steps.
  • Problem solving skills, identifying solutions to issues arising or facilitate with the appropriate person.
  • Commercial and Financial awareness, able to understand project costs and identify efficiencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, including MS Project and Power Point.
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities and communicate cross teams effectively.
