The Energy Management Team is currently seeking a Project Manager with experience in delivering energy management and decarbonisation projects, from initial feasibility to handover, across a diverse property portfolio including schools, leisure facilities, museums, and office spaces.
The successful candidate will oversee a variety of projects, including strategy development, procurement, contract, and programme management, while providing regular updates on finance and performance to senior management and key stakeholders.

Note: This is a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a degree or equivalent qualification, experienced in delivering a broad range of projects from concept to completion.
You should have in-depth knowledge of building services and low-carbon/renewable technologies, with experience managing retrofit HVAC and solar programmes in complex commercial buildings.
The role requires conducting detailed technical surveys and feasibility studies, writing reports, and delivering presentations. You should also be capable of analyzing data and survey findings thoroughly.

Salford City Council manages a diverse property portfolio, from listed buildings like Buile Hill Mansion and Salford Museum and Art Gallery to strategic sites at Salford Quays and modern modular buildings. Our Building and Facilities teams oversee around 500 buildings, including offices, leisure centres, commercial properties, and historic structures, ensuring asset compliance, repairs, energy management, and capital investments.
