V7 are working with a Data Centre Contractor who is looking for an Assistant PM AND Project Manager to join their Consultancy arm of the business, working closely with one of their end clients.

You will collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to assist in planning, executing, and closing projects. This role involves supporting the entire project lifecycle, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based in the office 5 days a week, in the E14 area.

MANDATORY: DATA CENTRE EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support Project Management: Assist the Project Manager throughout all project phases, from initiation to closure, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  2. Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation including schedules, meeting minutes, risk logs, and change requests.
  3. Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment on project tasks and milestones.
  4. Monitor Progress: Track and report on project progress, highlighting risks, delays, or issues, and suggest corrective actions.
  5. Budget Assistance: Support tracking of project budgets, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  6. Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and standards.
  7. Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential problems and collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues or conflicts.
  8. Meetings: Schedule and participate in project meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
  9. Risk Management: Assist in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in project management, coordination, or related roles (preferably in construction, IT, or relevant industry).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CAPM, PMP, or similar certifications are advantageous.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working on Data Centre projects is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Skills: Familiarity with agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.
